This restored Georgian army barracks, home to the new Saatchi Gallery in London’s Chelsea, have won widespread praise from critics both at home in the UK and abroad..
In its new incarnation as the Saatchi Gallery, the renovated Duke of York’s Headquarters in Chelsea showcases works from one of the largest private collections of contemporary art in the world. The transformation of this Grade I Listed building involved the creation of a series of 12 huge rooms over three floors within the existing building. A rear extension housing three additional gallery areas are linked to the main building via a state of the art glazed walkway.
For such a prestigious project only the best would do and internationally acclaimed architects Paul Davis & Partners chose our MHC-7100-SSE Series Stainless Edged recessed access covers & frames in order to provide an almost seamless, yet stylishly contemporary look to the gallery floor areas where regular access to services is required. In the non-public utility areas Manhole Covers Limited provided their more standard MHC-7100 and MHC-9100 recessed & solid top galvanised steel access cover and frame units.
